You’ve heard it on Spotify…
You’ve seen the 24/7 chill lofi beats to relax/study to streams on YouTube…
You’ve caught it in the background while sitting in your favorite coffee shop.
Lofi Hip Hop has taken the music world by storm with its iconic blend of dusty drums, nostalgic melodies, and vintage sampling.
But despite its popularity, there aren’t that many resources for learning how to make it.
This came to our attention when we published our first Lofi Hip Hop article and video tutorial. They both quickly made it to the top of Google.
And then we launched a free Lofi Hip Hop sample pack to go along with the article & video.
It started getting 20-30 downloads every day.
Seems like there’s a demand for this.
So, we asked people if they’d be interested in a comprehensive course on how to make lofi hip hop (instead of just assuming things).
Here’s what they said…
72% of people were interested.
Until now, there hasn’t been a solid, comprehensive program that teaches producers how to make lofi hip hop from scratch.
Now there is.
Master the workflow, techniques, and creative tactics behind one of the most popular genres of electronic music by making 3 full songs.
Gain insights into workflow and production techniques of professionals: Loftii, Delayde, and Sofasound
This course is the first in its genre that teaches you by doing instead of just watching someone else make beats.
You get all the samples, all the project files, and all the presets we use in the course.
Not only that, but we also explain every step of the process—from pulling in the first sample to the final export—so you’ll never be left in the dark.
And to top it off? We’ve brought in three lofi heavyweights to break down their music for you.
In this introductory module, you’ll learn more about lofi hip hop and what it takes to make a decent lofi track.
We’ll focus on the characteristics of the genre, along with mixing and mastering considerations. Given that lofi hip hop is a sampling-heavy genre, we’ll also take a brief look at the legality of sampling.
In this module, you’ll make your first lofi beat primarily using samples.
Along the way, we’ll show you basic production techniques that are relevant to lofi, and explain every step, from the drums and bass to mixing and mastering.
This time, we create a full track relying mostly on instruments and MIDI.
We’ll use Serum presets to craft beautiful chord progressions and melodies, as well as how to humanise your notes so they sound warm and alive.
In this final track build, we’ll build a more ambient and experimental lofi beat.
We’ll blend sampling and sound design techniques to create more unique sounds, which is something many lofi artists do in practice.
Loftii is the lofi hip-hop side project of Canadian artists Hudson Lee & Matt McWaters. Similarly to Joe, Hudson’s main project focuses on an experimental blend of neurohop and future beats, with a solid injection of sound design wizardry to keep things interesting. But as loftii, he channels the calmer side of his production abilities, while still weaving magic moments throughout the arrangements.
Joe Mawson, is a producer of many talents. As RefraQ, he blends neuro and experimental future beats seamlessly, while also sporadically jumping between tempos and genres. As Delayde, he looks at the more mellow side of things, crafting unique, beautiful lofi beats that will fit nicely into any collection or playlist while still standing out.
John Digiacomo-Sofia (aka Sofasound) has released too many tracks to count, and each one feels like it represents something honest. To describe his music would be a unique blend of chillhop, future beats and lofi. But that might be undercutting his production credentials, where you might find elements of pop, bounce, trap or house, infused in his music.
In this final module, we’ll discuss some tips & tricks in detail that you can apply to your own music.
We’ll focus on the sound design, processing and production elements of the music, as well as showing you alternate ways of working in your DAW when writing lofi hip hop.
As with all our courses and programs, we offer a 30-day “no questions asked” money back guarantee.

All you need is a copy of Ableton Live 10, and Xfer Serum.
If you’re using another DAW, and you’re confident you can follow along with what we’re doing in Ableton Live, then we recommend enrolling.
Worst case scenario: you find it too hard to follow along using a different DAW and we give you a full refund.
If you’re completely new to production, we strongly recommend EDM Foundations instead. It’s specifically designed for producers with know experience, unlike this course where some basic skills are assumed (like understanding your DAW). EDM Foundations is designed in a way to help complete beginners master the fundamentals and get going quickly.
Have you developed skills in this particular genre? Maybe you’re great at making future bass but have no idea how to make lofi hip-hop.
If you’ve already been making good lofi hip-hop for a while, then it’s probably not for you. But if you’ve been producing for a while but feel like you never really got a good start—I recommend it.
The Lofi Hip Hop Blueprint course is completely online-based.
As soon as you make your payment, you’ll be instantly enrolled in the course platform and you can start the course straight away.
While we recommend you go through the course in 3 weeks, the Lofi Hip Hop Blueprint is a self-paced course.
You can go through it as quickly or as slowly as you like. If you have a busy schedule, no worries. Take your time. You have lifetime access to this material. It’s not going anywhere.
That’s fine. We have a 30 day guarantee on all of our courses. If you don’t like it, you can get a full refund within that period.
